Apollo Air Services has rapidly grown in size and capability. We currently manage and operate the largest and youngest fleet of AgustaWestland 109 GrandNew helicopters in the UK. We hold a single pilot IFR EASA AOC (GB 2420) to operate the AW 109 and the AS 350 throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
Presently we have three main operating bases in the UK.
Carlisle Lake District Airport, in the North West which is where our head office is located.
Cardiff City Heliport in the South West where we are the only operator of V V I P helicopters in Wales
Leeds East Airport which is the latest aviation development in Yorkshire and we are delighted to have our newest AW109 based here.
With our large and diverse fleet, we can provide helicopter charter across the whole of the UK and not just from our main bases. So, whatever your requirements please contact us for a quotation.
At Apollo Air Services we pride ourselves on providing a level of service and luxury second to none. All our A109 aircraft (from the A109S to the A109SP) are VVIP specification with sumptuous leather seats, select catering and noise cancelling headsets to provide a relaxing and enjoyable journey. Luxury comes as standard at Apollo Air Services..!
Safety is our primary concern and the main reason why we only operate twin engine, all weather (IFR) helicopters. All our pilots are instrument rated enabling flight in bad weather and at night but most importantly because the exacting standards required to obtain and maintain the rating means only the highest quality of pilots fly our aircraft.
The A109 has always been referred to as the Ferrari of the skies, with a cruise speed of 150+kts (170MPH) there is literally no quicker way to travel. We can collect you from your private residence and drop you at your chosen destination efficiently and in unparalleled luxury. Call us now for flight times and landing sites at thousands of business/private sites .
One of the most important factors to efficient travel by helicopter is their endurance, i.e. how far they can travel before requiring fuel stops. Apollo Air Services operate the latest variants of the A109 capable of travelling from the Cumbria area to the south coast without the need to re-fuel. Don't settle for older, inefficient aircraft fly with the best in the industry.
Apollo Air Services is the first operator of AW109's in the UK to gain approval to operate aircraft in the Multi Crew role. This further enhances the commitment that Apollo Air Services has to safety and allows us to offer the aircraft with two properly trained and qualified pilots as the crew. In addition to enhancing safety the multi crew enables Apollo Air Services to recruit, train and mentor young pilots to ensure the future of our industry.
Further to MCC approval Apollo Air Services has also recently invested in gaining an Electronic Flight Bag approval for our AOC, further demonstrating our commitment to safety by embracing the technology that is available and using it in a proper and approved manner.
